Hey ya'll, I gots me a little question:
I can get two 3" 40 series flow masters for free. And, since my '77 needs/I want new exaust any ways, I figured what the hell.
Can I run true dual 3" exaust from the headers? My 318 is mildly warmed up, but is getting 340 or 360 heads this summer, and a new cam/timing chain.
So, is it OK?

Yeah dual 3" is to big, you could get the muffs anyway and put a reducer on it since there is no magic to those muffs anyway and they do the same thing

I would say that it's too big, but I would take them mufflers for free, and then just run a reducer like previously stated. Besides, three inch duals would be too much money for the loss of backpressure and torque. I got 2.5, just cause I plan on buildin' a 360 stroker this summer, while out of school and actually making money and not just wast...spending it on a good education. hmmmm. James
