I need a new pinion yoke for a 9 1/4 due to my u-joint breaking and the prong on the u-joint slightly twisting and wedging itself in yoke. Slightly bending it. I winged it to a friends house (heavy vibration - obviously), removed my driveshaft, and drove home in 4WD.

Everything is fine up to about 35 MPH. Accelerating faster than that causes my transmission to slip out of gear and my speedometer to raise with the revving of engine (like a tach).
Is this slipping out of gear normal?
Is this damaging anything (driving in front wheel drive only)?
Does anyone have an extra pinion yoke?

Oh yeah, tranny engages again (with a slight THUD) after the engine idles back down.

if you have full time unit, like the 203, then it may be the chain slipping on the front out put gear. if it's not full time, i dont have any idea. sorry.

It's not full time. It's part-time NP 208 with CAD.

Thanks.
