Hey, all. I want to replace the hinge pins on the driver's door (87 RC). Is there a trick to getting them out, or do I just need a bigger hammer? I tried a punch & hammer, but couldn't get them to move. What about an air chisel with a blunt tip?

Any suggestions?

Thanks.............MoJoe

1st, I am not trying to be an idiot!
2nd, try the other end? I have seen (more then once) where one pin goes in from the top and one from the bottom. ??? Dunno why, it just does.

HOWDY / if you look real close there is a spring clip that keeps the pin from falling out / either break it off or sqeese it with a pair of plairs / the pin should come right out after that / good luck and MOPAR TO YA /////////// DEANO

Thanks for the replys, ya'll. The pins have a flange on the top and the bottom is straight. I guess I didn't look close enough to see the spring clip, which, I assume is on the bottom?

So, if I remove this clip, the pin should come out thru the top, right?

Thanks for all your help guys! I just replaced my drivers side door earlier today...taking the engine hoist to hold the door really helped! Let me know if you got any questions.

Thanks

Thanks, again, everybody. Yes, I'm replacing them because of play.

Brew, what did you have to do to get the bushings out?
