Earlier this month I asked a question about the voltage limiter on the back of my 76 D200 cluster with gauges, and found it is nearly the same as all the 81-89 style that had gauges.
So I just saw a new limiter advertised as “WITH GAUGES & TACH” , did they actually only run 9 volts to the factory tach that was available in my 76? The ad didn’t say the Voltage limiter was for a truck, and I know 99% of this aftermarket dash stuff is made for the Musclecar resto world.
They want so much $$ for the original tachs that I think I will just get a classic style aftermarket one and install. Thanks-Crossy

No, both the factory tach, and clock, get 12 volts right from the fuse block. The ignition accessory fuse for the tach, and the battery accessory fuse for the clock.
