Good observation, but also keep in mind, many lock the CAD and install locking hubs. Or like a few of mine, I have the CAD still working, and have locking hubs. Why? because they came that way.While not related to your no fire issue, the front axle looks to have selectable locking hubs. In 86 only the Dana 60 would have those, the 44 would be CAD. Congrats on scoring a 60 if that is what it is.
