There is a whole series of these in another post here in the scams board. Here is what you do, take their email address, since they are really using a valid email address in hopes that you reply, and sign it up to as much gay or beastiality porn mailings lists as you can stand. They will soon be flooded with gross porn email and can no longer use the email account :)

This is a variant of the 4-1-9 scam. Believe it or not, this scam in its various incarnations, earns hundreds of millions of dollars per year for its perpetrators.

One of the most hysterically funny websites I've seen lately is 419Eater.Com where they reverse scam the scammers and make fools out of them, and even get the would-be scammers to send the scam-ees money!

But anybody that loses money this way richly (?) deserves it.

Well how many people have you emailed using your email address? That is where they usually get the email, from people that forward emails and leave everyone elses in there. So the jokes that people forward around usually have at least 100 emails, all valid, inside them.
