Hello,
In my 93 RamCharger with a 318. It has 163,000 miles on her. Lately I will start the truck fine. It will idle fine. Then the second I put in into reverse to back out of my parking spot, it will die. Then to get her restarted I have to put my foot to the floor and crank it over a few times. And keep on redoing this until it runs fine in reverse. Then other times it will back out fine. I will move forward. Come up to a stop sign and it will die. Then I have to repeat it all again. Any ideas?

i would image that a carb rebuilt would have no effect on fuel injection system in the 93 ........
check ur vacume linds and ur ilde speed settings

Yeah, 318 Magnum with MPFI. When I put it into gear it will either suputter and die, or it will either idle up again to where it will move.

I'd start by replacing the throttle position sensor. It sounds as if it's not getting an enrichment signal as you go off-idle.
