How can you tell the difference between the dana 60 and 70? I looked on the rear but didn't see anything obvious. 85 D350 crewcab dually 2wd.

that would probly be a 60, 70s are bigger then a 60 if u ever say the two, but there should be a number somewhere on the little metal pieces coming from the axle to the pumpkin thing

if its a dually it should be either a 70 or 80.

They didn't have 80's back then on 85 dodges. More then likely a 70. I believe there is about .75" of overhang from the differential casting below the rear cover on the dana 70

On the webs cast into the carrier looking at the back of the rear on the upper right hand side there will be a # cast into it will be either a 60 or 70 .Might have to clean it allitle
