Ok on my Hood the sticker indacates the carb as a 4307-465 which is used for a 225 CID 3.7L made in 1985. I need to know why this sticker is on this hood of mine.

The carb that was on the motor was 4306-465 In which I can not find information on it. I need whatever information I can get for this Carb. (Emmissions inclueded)

The Carb I am using now is 4324-629 Which is used for 318 5.2L made in 1986 I need to know what I have to do to get this to run correctly. When I look up the info in my book It says the vaccum lines are wrong saying PCV valve needs to be hooked up to the pass side hose connection on the carb and the the power braek booster needs to be hooked to drivers side vaccum connection.

Thanks
Steve

I have no idea why that sticker is on there.

My info says that should be the correct carb for that year.

PCV valve should be hooked to the carb on the throttle plate and the power brake booster is generally hooked to a seperate vacuum tree/tee on the intake manifold itself. are you gonna rebuild either carb..the kits will come with a bunch of info on adjustmants etc. It may be that the vacuum hose fittings are different from a 2280 vs a 6280. If you have 2 connections at the base than connect the power brake booster to the left fitting and the PCV to the right fitting. Does this info help some?:)

Thank you chump I Plan on rebuilding both carbs this summer. When I hooked up the carb up I hooked it up with the booster vaccum as it was when I unhooked the old one. PCV to the Driver side (Right) and the booster to the Pass side (Left) Both located in the back.It running fine now thanks again :)

I checked the vin and it came up with the V8 318 or 360 motor only. I am thinking that the hood was replaced. The truck was painted before I go it. So I am sure thats the way it went down.

The filter number I broke is 17070814 AB 11 the AB 11 are both under the numbers and looks like this.(shown below) If someone can look this up for me. I tried looking it up in the parts database with no luck.
17070814
AB
11

Thanks for the help again guys I am off to see if I can locate this item at the parts store

that little filter thing is a flame arrestor. Its not really needed. Most dodge vehicles didnt' have them but maybe they started using them on the mid 80's because the Holley's might of had trouble hic-upping.

17070814 is actually a GM/AC Delco part.
Equivalent Part Number: Delco 179-983
Does it look like the picture below. GM will want $28 for it. Who knows what Mopar wants for it? ???
