It probably doesn't help that we have so damn many stickies already, maybe some of those stickies could be referenced here then un-stickied?
Maybe we should have a "FIXED problems" help board. ;D

Then "sticky" a link to that. :p

Tony, that was the original idea. Since that didn't quite work out, we adjust fire, and have this thread.

The tech board had so many stickies that you had to scroll like half way down, so it got pruned, but I don't know of a good way to do that with the help section. It is a different scenario.

Might want to add the thread with the wandering steering, lift and front axle shims.

Just a thought Joe but maybe you should put what the fixes are for in the posts so people don;t have to look at every one.  ;)

Ya good idea. Tell ya what. If I get atleast 5 other members complaining of the same thing, I'll think about adding the fix.

For now it's better that you read them all. Never know when you will need to know this stuff.

another good one to add if you have a truck with the A-500 or A-518 transmission and are feeling and hearing a thumping/clunking noise when going over any kind of bumps check the bottom transmission mounts, i had this happen to me and it drove me insane i accually broke leaf spring bolts from over tighting them thinking thats what was causing it, but the entire time it was the botom transmission mounts, check them with a pry bar first if you get any significant movement replace them and i garantee that fixes the thumping/clunking when going over any kind of bumps.

Well hello, this is my first post but I had to see if yall encountered the same issue cuz it drove me nuts. I swamped my truck and barely made it out runnin. Next day sounded like it was about to throw a rod but to my amazement the sounds got quieter and eventually went away with increased throttle. Strangest noise Ive ever heard come from a vehicle. Turns out the 4 bolts holding the flexplate to the torque converter had backed off. I pulled all 4 out by hand. Threw it all back together with some trusty loctite and shes good as new. 87 rc/318

New to Ramchargercentral.  Is there a way to "mark" or for lack of a better term "like" this thread so I can easily reference it later on?  Thanks for all of this info.
