12 Battery or computer recently disconnected
14 MAP sensor voltage below .16V or over 4.96V
21 Oxygen sensor signal doesn't change (stays at 4.3-4.5V).
42 Automatic shutdown relay circuit open or shorted
37 Part throttle lock/unlock solenoid driver circuit
55 End of codes
the asd will cause the truck to die not want to idle right? It will crank idle smooth for a sec the start idleing up and down really fast and the sputter and die. It wont even move. I t dies when you try to stick it in drive.
So you dont chase ghosts...clear the codes out of the computer by....
To erase fault codes without a scan tool, disconnect battery negative (-) terminal for 15 seconds. Then reconnect. All fault codes shoud be erased from the SMEC memory.
Then recheck the codes...12,37,55 should come back..see if any of the others do after you run the engine for awhile.
ASD relay failure will shut down your engine completely. Most normally when the code 42 shows up it's the relay itself thats bad...could be wiring or connections also.
