Toyradio have a question which I hope you can answer for me.  My CB antenna (red short 36" I believe) (like the ones the 18 wheelers use) the end plastic slip cover keeps melting, what is causing this??  puttputt56

i've been there, good stuff.

i ran a relatively short Firestik on my jeep and it did okay, but i think i'll go with something long and thin for the ramcharger.  i like a little distance.

Hey bub I'm lookin for a 15ft whip antenna to go on my Ram350 so I can bow to the cab. I have 10ft one but it ain't long enuf to reach the cab.

An antenna that long would be pointless for a CB.  A 102" stainless whip is more than enough.  Plus tying it down cuts it's performance and if you tie it down wrong, you simply ground it out and burn up the radio when you transmit.
