85 RC, 318, Holley 2bbl.
The carb is a rebuilt, it works *okay* however, it's severely lacking. I richened the mixture a little, it's a little better, but if I really give it at a stop light, it bogs for a second then picks up.
When it was leaner, it would bog every time while it was heating up, and only slightly at full running temp.

Anyway I can get it to be a little more responsive?

A plugged or partially plugged PCV valve can cause the hesitation you describe pull the PCV valve and hose and spray it out with gum out till its clean, worth a try and doesn't cost you anything except the carb cleaner.
