??? I have a 1985 Ram Charger prospector. Someone put sugar in my gas tank and screwed up my carb. It is a 280 Holly made in Canada. It was made in the 85's, 86's and early 87. We are trying to rebuild. Can anyone tell me where to get the parts or tell me what to do?? HELP PLEASE!!

go to your local parts dealer and ask for a carb rebuild kit for that specific model carb...
I have an 82 prospector with the carter thermoquad, at least I did anyway (before I rebuilt the entire thing) and when I tried to do a rebuild on it, the engine went from running half ass to never properly running ever again. Since that incident, I've replaced my entire engine, manifold, carb, the works and I think, you might just be better off replacing your carb for a new and improved version... if you're anything like me when it comes to gettin' those intricate devices put back together right, I just suck...

You need to do more than rebuild the carb :(

I would drop the gas tank and have it cleaned. Replace ALL of the fuel lines. Obviously replace the fuel filters. Have the fuel pump checked, but it may need replacing as well. Then, rebuild the carb. Make sure you get it completely cleaned out.

Hopefully, the fuel filter(s) plugged up and/or the needle & seat plugged up before much, if any sugar made it into the engine.

Good Luck. Hunt the A**holes that did this down and give them a swift kick in the nuts.

Do you know for certain someone did that, or is a conclusion based on vehicle probs? When you say, "we" does that include you or someone mechanic savy? That's a good start in the right direction. By the way, that's a silly urban legend that's (lucky for you) not gonna do the damage that was intended, so clean up after the immature fool and things will be okay.
