Was wondering if this bumper will fit on the brackets of a 78 w150. Straight swap or need mods? Howuch would a good price be he wants 350?

As long as it has the brackets that go to the frame, it will fit.

To clarify, you do need the bracket that goes with the style of bumper you want to install. You cannot use the bracket from a 70's bumper to mount an early 80's style.
Any full size Dodge truck bumper from 72 to 93 will fit any full size dodge truck from 72 to 93.
Yes got that. The holes are different on other years on the actual bumper. He likes the bumpers with the little bumper pads. His is bent up on the passenger side and in good old fashion parts that thing is soooo thick we can't get in bent out straight.

If it is just a twist, some times it can be straightened by using a come along to pull it back. Just need to be careful, it takes a lot of force. A hook slipping off can make for a bad day.
Tried to anchor into a a tree and it started to pull the tree out. Pit it on the biggest tree we have in our yard. Heated and everything tried a few things and thought exactly that, if that hook flies off how much is this worth it to try and fix. Plus he likes the rubber pads.

Yes, there is lots of spring in them. I'm not a fan of using the engine to pull out dents, it can go bad quick.

I have a 77 that had the right side pushed in. I hooked a chain to the bumper and pulled on it with my F350 to where it needed to be. Then hit the high spot that was created on the top and bottom of the bumper when the bumper initially bent with a big hammer. Released pressure from the F350 and it stayed in place.

the bumperettes can be switched/put on another bumper of the same style , form 1972 to 1993 dodge had 3 different style bumpers
# 1 / 1972 to 1977 ?? THIN one
# 2 / the 1978 ?? to 1986 or 87 ?? THICK one
# 3 / the 1987 ?? to 1993 BIG one
on the bumpers above l don't know the exact switch over years , l could research it later

One of my bumperettes was squished when I bought my truck and I was able to straighten it out using a hammer and an anvil/dolly. It worked well.

You can also buy brand new bumpers from LMC Truck, I believe they have all 3 styles. Around $250 or less shipped to your door.
They don't have the bumperettes though.
