Ever since the winter, I've noticed that my bumber isn't even close to straight anymore. It's become enough of a problem to cause the lift gate to get caught, and is very difficult to open. Is there any way to adjust the alignment of the bumper, or should i take a hammer to it??

Is this common?

Yup, just take a larger than 3lb hammer and protect the bumper w/ a piece of 2x4. I've had to do it several times after laying the truck on the back bumper a few times.

before you get out the fine tuning hammer, loosen the bolts mounting the bumper and see what kind of wiggle room you have. You may be able to re-position the bumper without the need for violence, though that won't be as much fun.

There is quite a bit of adjustment in the stock bumper. You can move it up and down a bit.

Hopefully it is just you bumper and not the body mount pushing up through the floor like mine did. My bumper was straight the body just looked like it was tipping over.

My front bumper tilts up on the left side looking from the front. It looks like it's been bent up. Can I unbend it? Is there a device or tool to use besides a sledge hammer?
