im looking for a brush gaurd for my 86 rc the few i have found are a little out of my price range i was thinking about building one out of stainless steel do u think it would be cheaper? thanks for u in put

Stainless ? are ya rich ? yikes that weould be expensive . ummm...check out www.4x4iron.com i tihnk . Gmule has one of their bumpers on his rig . looks nice and for 100 bucks not bad on price cept u get to weld it together .

By the sounds of it you have access to stainless?? If you do, and you have the skills....ya it's cheaper.

The stainless material for a brush guard would not cost that much, provided you made it out of only one or two different types of members. Otherwise, you would end up buying long lengths of different pieces and have a lot of stainless left over but no money.

$100...you might want to check the prices...more like a couple of hundred. If you don't have ready access to stainless, you can good old mild steel from a place like www.onlinemetals.com. You can select the length, width and thickness to make it easier on what you have to cut.
Good deal IMO...except that steel is going up inprice.

That is Gmule's rig in the Dodge section too. You can tell by the massive chunks of sheetmetal that have been liberated from it
