So today in 95 degree weather i was going to check out the voltage on the always-dead w200. I pushed the tab in the grill, and it just bent. Nothing weird, it does that a lot. So i tried again, the same. The third time the tab broke off and fell through the grill onto the ground. Is it s'pose to do that? LOL i know it's not, but have y'all ever had that happen? If so how'd ya fix it?

You might need to use a screwdriver to pull a lever back in the mechanism to release the latch.

The bird bath hood used a different latch then the later hood. Both had the option of in the cab, or regular. In general to find an outside release, you need to look for a plain jane truck. A military one would be a good bet.
