Attempting to change the filter inside the front of my quadrajet. There's the one bolt that is over the end of the fuel line, which screws into the larger bolt, which screws into the carb. Well everything was rusted or by some means stuck together (large bolt to small bolt, small bolt to fuel line), so when it finally "came loose," we actually broke the pipe, but inside the little bolt assembly.

Tomorrow I'm gonna jerry-rig a system using the tube ending off of my friends 68 firebird (he just switched to braided lines) and some rubber tube he had lieing around. But the question is, where do I get that molded line? Runs between the external filter and the carb filter. The important part is the end... one end switches to rubber to run into the external filter, and the other has that weird fitting to screw into the thing that screws into the carburator.
is there somewhere i can buy it or do i have to bend it myself and all that jazz?

Get one at a u-pull-it junkyard, if there are any around you. Probably cost you a buck

its just plain old every day hard fuel line / go to the JY or bend it yerself

hey derek, am i reading correctly that this part is out of the carb? if so they sell an adapter that is just a male nipple that fits in the quadrajunk so oyu can hook rubber line straight to carb

ps: i am not sure why your eddy post was locked on the open boards, but the carb you are looking for is the model 1406 600cfm electric choke performer. can find them at summit can also get reconditioned ones at the same place
