hi guys I just bought a 72 power wagon with power drum brakes I'm new to 4x4s so if I ask a stupid question please forgive me. I part classic cars on ebay and pull a trailer loaded with cars that near 5000 lbs very often my guess is that the drums wont be near enough so will I have to swap the entire axle to get a disk set up and which will bolt up with little or no mods late 70s ? early 80s? and I also have manual steering so I have the same questions for a power steering set up as well I'm not into high performance I just need a good driving and towing truck any help will be greatly appriciated thanks ;D

The '74 D44 has drums.. You want '75+.. You'll also need a master and proportioning valve. Just make sure you match your gears or you will break something!

Yup. D44=5 lug, D60=8 lug.
