I have checked the fluid, its fine, the brakes function properly, the damned light goes on and off all the time.


Ideas?

this is on a 78 Trail Duster Sport.

Check your e-brake pedal. I did the same thing and finally after fixing the brakes (that needed fixing anyway) the light stayed on. I finally realized the e-brake pedal spring was loose and didn't hold th pedal off the switch that activates the light.

I belive my switch at the e-brake pedal is bad.

is the switch pluger supposed to go inside of the switch, mine appears to be broken.
