does anyone know of any place that sells a blow thru carb kit or knows any carb mods to do this on an e-brock carb? ???

contact the turbo makers...and you will have to run a line to your fuel pump if it is mechanical to reference it to the pressure.

make sure to read every one.

do the research. later, still i willl post stuff from my books im tired right now.

general consensus seems to be for best performance, trade the eddybrock for a small double pumper holley.

more aftermarket tuning parts and tips and tricks.

I know it ain't for a tubro, but the guys who make the turbo kits can help you......pressure is pressure...turbo or supercharger

okee.... well if any of u care.... ive done a hell of alot of research and i can make this work..... heres the list of mods to the carb and everything else:

nitrophyl floats (if ebrock makes em)

smaller primary needles and seats

larger secondary needle and seats

carb spacer

pressure box for the carb to keep all the pressure equalized around it

electric fuel pump

adjustable fuel pressure regulator

(according to the book, u want to run 3psi more than ur boost at all times to keep from running too lean... so for 9psi boost, u want to run at least a pump capable of 12 psi)

a prayer, lol

so hopefully this will work... i have mr. swineheart giving me tips too cuz he seems to be the boost guy around here and any other advice is much appreciated.... thanx to everyone who has givin me a hand with all my little bs ?'s and probs with this project and hopefully itll be done soon enuf

a carb box may be harder to build than a bonnet but it tends to simplfy things such as leaking throttle shafts which on a holley can be bushed and o ringed but i dont think so on a ebrock. so a carb box is good for e brock.

i believe ebrock has "vacuum door" on secondaries.

some people have modified other carbs like that, so the secondaries only open under boost. boost actually pushes against a spring and opens the secondaries more and more as psi builds.

there is not a magical number of xtra psi fuel per psi of boost. if you are using small jets, you will need more psi to push same amount of fuel. if you are using larger jets u need less psi to do same job.

u can fill floats to prevent collapsing under extra psi.

a port injection fuel pump capable of 40psi or more is a good thing.
http://www.fuel-pumps.net/500.html

then us a regulator to drop psi down.

you will want a base psi that runs good on the street. usually 5-7psi. but u want psi to increase as boost increase. they run a line from positive pressure to regulator. the boost pushes the regulator open more.

you want bigger accelerator pump or a second pump rigged in. give an extra shot of fuel to compensate for sudden rush of boost.

if im not mistaken eddybrock on uses 1 set of needle and seats.

you may be talking about jets and metering rods.

i would buy a whole kit of different springs (mostly the stiff ones) and jets and rods. will make tuning that much easier.

some more things to consdier.

a good wide band o2 sensor. you can use the honda ngk one and a control box off diy wb site. it measures from like 9:1-75:1. gives actual voltage readings. there is a chart to explain voltage. use this to assist tuning.

i believe some info i got off the dodge turbo site mentioned somewhere around .80volts is target area.

then there is a diagram for extra fueling.

basically with some simple resistors and a crude circuit board you can add even more fuel.

bmws and volkswagons use a "cold start valve" its a simple on/off fuel solenoid. or you can use a solenoid off a dual fuel tank truck. when solenoid is turned on, it dumps more fuel. this is plumbed into engine.

dodge guys figured out by using the o2 sensor they could tell the solenoid when to open and close.

did it really simply and cheaply. its a junk yard mod.

another way people tell the valve to open is with a simple pressure switch. easier for sure but not as effective.

and i forgot, igntion needs to be addressed as well.

to maintain good driveability you advance igntion. but boost and advanced timing dont mix.

so what people do is use vacuum advance. under vacuum distributor advances. but boost counteracts and retards.

need to devise way of retarding ignition under boost.

Oh, you're using TWO Eaton's? Well, that'll minimize the heat/intercooler issue. I thought you were just using one. Planning on something like this?

Granted, it's a single Paxton on the GSS, but I'd think a search on Mr. Norm, Grand Spaulding Dodge, maybe even Paxton assemblies would reveal some helpful hints as well.

u guys have been alot of help, thanx.... as for the cooling issue too... that whole box is gonna get finned so it acts like one big intercooler along with some intercooler plates im making for mounting the eatons to the box as well. ive been thinking about running an o2 set up but its gonna be a pain considering this isnt exactly a trcuk per se, lol..... and its mainly all offroading and is gonan be out in the weather so i gotta devisen some method of keeping it weatherproofed, but it shouldnt be too hard.....
