Just called my local Chrysler dealer to get a price on what a new 692 stock B block rod is worth so I can brag to my wife about how good a shopper I am (dont hunt deer anymore so...). After a long search they tell me that those rods (the only stock 361, 383, 400) are not available. HUH??? With all those motors out there is that possible?? If you are running one of these hold onto your old rods (that doesnt sound right). They are forged and a good strong alternative to $$$ aftermarket.

Ah a few of the aftermarket rods have gotten cheaper, and are stronger and lighter

Once the aftermarket takes up building a part than Chrysler will no longer keep stock. they should be available through any good auto parts store under a different brand. There are some still in NOS inventory and they are running around $20-$75 apiece. That would be part number 2406766 or 1737690
