Does anyone know how thick the axle tubes are oin a 9 1/4 " ??

Mine are rusted away some and noticably thinner from where the stock lower shock mount was.....any ideas short of re-tubing the rear end or getting another one ??

I have already busted one set of axles tubes, and now I am gonna have even more power & torque...kinda has me concerned.

I wouldn't be worried about an 16th of an inch. Way cheaper to get a different housing then having it re-tubed

I dont know what the thickness is but I think I would opt for a beefier diff.

yeah, if I had the money to swap everything over AND knew where one was......

For now, I just cut down the stock lower plate, and welded it to the tube. That should make up for the lost wall thickness.

I also filled the channel with a metal repair epoxy to keep the corrosion from getting worse.
