Want to/need to, replace the fluid in the power sterring system.

Is there a drain/bleed port anywhere in the system or I am suck doing it the messy way?

Cheers

I've always had good luck filling the system to full and then turning the wheel lock to lock a few times with the motor running.

That's what the install instructions for the PS pumps and steering boxes say to do. Just be sure to leave the cap off while you do it.

Most manafactures recomend to jack up the front axle and suport on stands then turn lock to lock many times (40-60) filling as needed you could leave off tht low press hose to bleed the system then when you get clean fluid reattach the hose and start then turn again

I took the return line loose from the pump and put a hose extension going into a bucket. Then I started the truck and let it run, turning it lock-lock while adding fluid. I ran 4 qts thru it and reattached the hose. Clean, easy, and thoroughly flushed pump and gear.
