OK, looking at maybe picking up a 1992 RC 4WD with a bad engine.  Supposedly the trans was rebuilt a couple years ago and worked fine.  I'd like to put an OD trans in my 83 RC.
My 83 RC originally had a 318 in it, so I'm using the original torque converter with the B&M weighted flex plate.
The 92 RC has a 318 in it as well.  Will the trans be a lock-up or non-lock up?
I'm thinking with a complete donor truck (crossmember, drive shafts, etc) this should be a fairly straight forward swap and hopefully gain me a couple more MPGs.

Could be either.  If you can get me the part number off the side I could tell you or you can look at the input when you disassemble it.  Either way you could just use the converter with the new transmission if it's a 318 converter and you keep your weighted flexplate.
