Has anyone purchased a custom fuel tank from Aero Tanks in California?

They will make a 40gal replacement tank that includes the sending unt for $517 delivered to your door.

As far as I can tell, the only modification is that the tank bolts to the frame instead of being held by straps. This also means that the hitch may have to be moved. Any thoughts?

I have a Northwest Metal Products tank. It is 45 gallons, internally coated, has all hardware including sending unit.
The tank was a little over $400. Installs in the spot where the original was. Yes you will need to remove and possibly reinstall any hitch.
See link above. DRR-1

My truck is an 1989 RC, 318, FI. Of course the FI is really the issue here. I looked at Northwest Metal Products, but there DRR-1 tanks say "not for fuel injection". I got that off their web site. Aero is going to fax me a drawing so I can determine what changes need to be made. I'm surprised that so few have had to change out their plastic tank.
