Have a 93 dodge 318 and my oil pressure is showing some signs that my engine has some wear, but was thinking about adding a auxillary oil cooler to help with temps but wanted to know if anyboidy has added one and had a rise in oil pressure, Thanks for any help.....

You will have better luck raising your oil pressure by switching to a heavier weight oil. Are you sure your oil pressure is REALLY low? It may be the sending unit going bad as well.

my 79 was like that. I went to a manual gauge, and oil pressure went up. Shitty electrical guages.

The stock oil gauges suck. They readings mean nothing (no more acurate than an idoit light).

So first off get a aftermarket gauge (mechanical prefered). It should read something like 45psi at idle and up to 65psi as rpms increase.

If your still showing low pressure then do the following:
1. Heavier oil
2. High volume oil pump
3. Rebuild motor

try a new oil pump and through some oil stabalizer in with your next oil change.
o, and go to a mechanical gage.
