Not a truck or an RC, so I hope this is an acceptable forum for this question....

Does anyone have access to a charging system/electrical diagram for a '96 intrepid? Specifically, I need to know which field wire is which.

The main power wire is obvious. The field wires coming from the alt are (1) green and (2) green with an orange tracer. Which wire do I hook up to the green wire from my voltage regulator (runs between alt and VR only on stock setup) and which wire do I hook up to the blue wire from my voltage regulator (this wire is ignition switched 12 volts, and runs bewteen the ignition, electric choke, MSD power "on", alt, and VR)

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Well, I got it figured out with the "try it and see if it catches fire" method. Fortunately, I got it right the first time. Fired the slant off for the first time in 8 months (fired right up...made me happy ;D ) and immediately had 14.3 volts at the battery....AT IDLE (it was charging the batt back up, I drained it pretty heavily with the starter building oil pressure before starting). After about 10 minutes it stabilized around 13.8 volts. No more dimming headlights at idle, in gear, with the heater at full blast!!

I am not even sure what the amp rating of this '96 intrepid alternator is, but it puts the "year-correct" 100 amp alt I had on there to shame.
