Here's my first attempt at making white-face gauges for my '93 W150. They turned out better than I had imagined, though not perfect, I'm fairly satisfied with the results...

Thanks guys. I think it looks much better than the stock gauges.
You can't see it in the pic, but I also installed red lights in the gauge panel so the backlighting is red... looks cool, but for some reason my digital cam picks it up as white light- not red! ::)

do you think buying an autometer speedo will fit in the stock speedo spot. i want to get a whiteface autometer 100mph+ speedo since mines broken. then i can do the white face on the rest. think they have one that will hook up, be what i want, and fit in the area without much mods??? thanks ppl and nice setup you got there.

SB88- I'm not sure about the Autometer speedo fit. As far as the accuracy of mine with the white-face it's not a problem as long as you get the new face sized correctly and on straight. I didn't get mine quite right the first attempt- So when I took the gauge panel off to re-paint the gauge needles with a more correct glow-orange paint (rather than the red I originally painted them), I decided I might as well re-do the speedo face at the same time. I also went ahead and did my tach in white so now it matches the others (pic's a little out of focus). Here's a few more pics...

Mine was 100mph stock. I'm pretty sure you can't put the 100mph face over the 85mph speedo and expect it to be anywhere near accurate.

What if you used a newer model spedo gear? If there is a difference.. the spedometer should be a 1:1 ratio.. right?? same as the 85 mph ..so change the gear to match a 100 mph spedo truck.. make any sence??? might work... I know my spedo is 10 lower that the speed your going.... so if I go 60 on the spedo, i'm doin 70...

Not sure. I suppose it's possible. There's got to be somebody here that's tried this.
