91 spedo problem

on my 91 rc my speedo bounces like 10 mph untill about 45 mph then it stays steady but it only does it sometimes any one know what this might be i dont know much about electric spedos

Try looking at this Service Bulletin..maybe its just a bad connection?

were is my 2-way distance sensor connector ?? im lost with no pics

on my 89, the spedo sesor for the computer is on the tranny, right where the spedo cable comes out.

It's on the rear drivers side of the transfer case. Like Chump said check the terminals and try fixing the wiring if it looks bad, if not get a new sensor.

duh!, my 89 is two wheel drive, but it looks the same..maybey could use more sleep! sorry..

I had a similar problem on my 85. What it was, was that the speedo cable wasn't pushed in all the way in the dash so it would "catch & release" periodically with the gear in the speedometer. I just pushed it in all the way and it was fine. But your is electronic so check to see that the wiring is connected all the way. If it is I bet your sensor is bad.
