89 RC, 318.

Today i was idling, and the car started to almost stall out on me, for no apparent reason, it did this a few times for a few seconds each. As I drove it around more the problem began to occur more and more often. It now occurs whenever I am driving at low speeds, and is the worst when I accelerate. It feels almost like there is water in my cap, but it hasnt rained here in a week.

I filled up with premium, thinking it was bad gas, that did nothing.

If i turn the truck off for a few minutes, it is better for a little while when i turn it back on usually.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like a vacuum leak to me. I would check for any loose connections that might have fallen off. A leaking intake gasket would also do the same thing.

It sounds like an intake leak to me too. My carberator gasket was leaking from the rear and gave me the same symptoms.
Throw a clean rag over the mouth of the carb while it's running. If it speeds up or you can hear a hiss, it's an intake leak. I sprayed carb cleaner around the base of my carb to find mine.
