My 88 rc is 1/2 inch down on the left side looking from the rear. It also is 1/2 inch down on the right side when you look from the front. What can I do to correct this?

You can get replacement stock springs or go with the AAL's

Chump, Thanks for the link. However, it only talks about the front, would it be the same for the rear?

As far as I know that Service Bulletin only deals with the front and actually the problem goes clear back to the 70's.

I've decided to shim(large washers) the body mounts on the low side front and rear 1 inch to correct this slight lean. What do you all think?

that´s no good, frame is still leaning...

you can adjust it for optics but it´s no good solution...
you have to adjust your bumpers too, cuz theire fitted to your frame, that´s still leaning...

try add a leaf for your springs...or replacement springs...

to me, it looks like springs are kind of "worn out" ...

wait a moment...

is it a whole side thats leaning oder is it crossover, like front right and rear left (both seen from same place) ?

your description confuses me a bit :/

assumed its "crossover" changing the springs, or adding a leaf might just change the sides that are leaning. depending on how worn out the springs on the "high" corners are...

problem might be solved or just displaced...

changing all springs (or add a leaf thingie) would be the real thing...but i guess that´s not under consideration ???

Alexander has asked a good question.
If it really is low on opposite corners, as you make it sound (first post above) then you may actually have a bent frame.

Use the term dirvers side or passenger side to clarify the point. After rereading your post, I think you mean the drivers side, whether viewed from front or rear.

Otherwise, almost ALL of'em are a skosh low on the driver's side. Add one small, medium length, soft spring leaf above the existing spring on the drivers side front, for a cheap fix.

is it possible that the frame is just flexing ? (long flexing (may) result in a bent frame).

only solution to check that is a total swap of springs...

if the frame´s bent, it will show the same symptoms...

btw, did you check the bodymounts , as chump suggested ?

I put new body mounts in it 2 days ago and the lean is the same. It's driver side lean front and rear. If I add the leaf to the front driver's side spring will it level the rear also?

Sometimes. That's as good an answer as I can give you, if you're using JY sourced leaves as I do. A little change front or rear will have a little effect on the other end.

Or you can call our RCC friends at Rocky Mountain Suspension, and replace the whole set...

Another alternative is the "add-A-Leaf" type adjustable helper sping... where you can tighten it down until you reach the desired heighth.
