i just bought this to use as my daily driver and tow rig,
it's got a 318/np435/np208...44 front and a 60 rear with 3.54 gears......... :p
it's about a basic as they came, not even a radio (yet) I'm still going over it checking out everything and getting ready for inspection..........

I want 1 of those someday. If you dont mind how much did you pay and what type of condition is it in? Also where are some pics of this jeep you have ;D
i got if for $1425.00 and it needed some work, but i drove it 2 hours home. so it's pretty solid, the cab and frame have almost no rust at all, the bed has holes, and is getting a bed liner :) i've put about $600 into it (brakes, steering box, complete new exhaust, with different used exhaust manifolds and little stuff, going to get an new radiator next payday, it running to hot if you haul down the highway......

i got a web page link is in my signature, it's got way too many pics of my jeep on it, posted one on this board, showing the dodge rear axle kind off ::)

wow, talk about being brought back from the dead........

the spare is un-matching because i bought the 35" TSL/SX's used (and regrooved them) and only got 4.  I didn't buy a new fifth because of cost, and i used this worn out 35" BFG because i already had it, and it was pretty close in size.......

so you say, "wear my rear end out"..........
i'm guessing your talking about the fact that when running a "detroit locker" both left and right tires need to be the same overall diameter. is this what your talking about?  because it's true, if one is different, the locker will constantly lock and unlock while going straight down the road (this kind of yanks the front end back and forth also..)  i've also seen this happen when one rear tire has different air pressure than the other.

but don't worry, the overall diameter of that spare was about the same, and it was only to get be me out of the woods and back to a trailer, (actually never used it).........

now i'm running 38 x 12.5 x 16.5 TSL's.

kind of an old update, but thought i add alittle info:

swapped in a Dana 61 Front Axle from a 1989 D-600 truck (as per BOM) i found the axle in a junk yard. This link has a few pictures and alittle write-up http://www.geocities.com/lorimaryrose/dodgedana61.htmlÂ
only real drawbacks to this 61 i can see are gear ratio options (i'm staying with 3.54) and the "Caster" is almost nothing. I leaned the kingpins back alittle (around 4 degrees) but it put the pinion too low, the front drive shaft vibrates when in 4x4, i think it's acceptable below 35 mph. Ever rotated the "C" knuckles on a 60? I'll live with it like it is.
