Hi, I'm kinda new to this site, but I was told it is where I should go for info on my dodge. I have a 1984 D150 Prospector Royal SE. I can't find another one anywhere. I'm looking for some parts and also just any info about this truck, I'm wondering how many were made since I haven't been able to locate another 84 like mine. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hey CallyAnn, Welcome to RCC ! The folks here will try to help.

Sounds like you have a nice truck. One of the things you can do to learn more about it and this site, is go to the FAQs, then to the pictures sections, and the How To section... and when you have a specific question, ask it here or in the Open Discussion Board.

Welcome to the site CallyAnn! Your friend definitely steered you to the right place! :) You should fill out your profile and put your truck's specs in the Signature section, so it shows on your posts. You should also join the Illinois chapter.. Someone might be close enough to you to offer some in-person help if you need it.

Chump is our almighty parts guru, so if you need a part number or diagram, don't be afraid to ask him.. :) Everyone on here has experience with one problem or another, so someone is bound to be able to answer any questions you might have.

since you said D150, I'm guessing it's a 2wd pickup??
this book I got here says they made 76,203 2wd pickups in 84.
But it doesn't break it down into packages or Utiline (stepside) vs. sweptline (usuall smooth box sides), long vs short, etc etc.
There were like 3 different Prospector packages, but like already mentioned, you should have pretty much the top line rail there with the Prospector and Royal SE

Now, if this thing happens to be a fully loaded longbed Utiline, that's be real cool!

And welcome to the site

ok, sorry i haven't been back on here, thank you for all the replies. like i said it is an 84 D150 prospector royal se, it is a short bed, no stepside, 318, everything is original on it as far as i know, and i'd like to keep it that way, the main parts i am needing that i'm not sure where to get is the interior trim(that's the worst part on the truck!), i also need a new carb and intake, i can get the carb from autozone(no $$ for it yet, though) but the guy at autozone said the intake was unavailable, im not sure what else i need, my boyfriend is a mechanic and works on the engine, so he knows what other parts i need for the engine(but he's not home right now).

Thank you for your help!~Cally
P.S. I am hoping to get a picture on here soon

The simplest intake solution, that also works every bit as well as, and actually better than some, aftermarket intakes is the cast iron 4 barrel manifold from a 318, 340 or 360 V8.

The guy at Autozone is wrong. There are several aluminum intakes available, in addition to the factory iron intake.

I have a complete factory dash cover(red) for an '84.

I'll agree with Smokey on the intakes. Were you looking for a 2-barrel mabey, but the junk yards should have htem too.

You'll find body and interior parts are overall harder to find for a Dodge than they are for a Chevy and Ford. Makes the hunt more fun though. If I remember right, JC Whitney has door panels and dash pads and some other stuff. many times they'll have a link here on the site.

the prospectore and royal SEs had more plush interiors so you will most likely have a hard time finding what you need but im sure members here have what you need, or atleast a few peices.
