I have a 1978 Power wagon with a 360 2bbl. When ever I give it alot of throtle quickly the truck usually dies. Right after it dies I'll start it up and mash the gas again and it will usually go wothout any hessitation. I originally suspected that it was the carburator so I rebuilt it and had the same result. Could an O2 sensor cause this problem? Also, a probably an unrelated issue, the truck mists a dirty water from the exaust pipe it is the worst when I first start it up. I've never seen a vehicle do this all the time before. I live in New Mexico so I doubt it is humidity. Can some one please help me with at least the first issue.

Thank you so much! This site rocks! ??? 8)

Well u od not have an O2 sensor for sure .

I would change the fuel filter out .

Check the fuel pressure from the fuel pump . All fuel lines are straight and not kinked ?

I got no clue why it is spitting H2O out the pipes though . Have u checked for any failure of the head gaskets could be the early signs of a headgasket going .
