Well im no longer interested, if  anyone of yall are here is the info he sent me in a e-mail. He told me he has no way to send me any pictures. So you will have to go look at it. Not to sure he knows what axles are "really" under it.

"it was registered a few years ago as "street legal" but due to the way its geared , high-way or every-day driver use really wouldn't be practical , it has a N.P.203 "all time 4-wheel drive".....soooo.....there goes all fuel mileage...after reviewing the post I realized I put my blazers axle specs....this has a spicer 44 rear and spicer 60 front with the small mopar truck-5 pattern...as far as over-all condition...she's not gonna win any truck shows any time soon ....the interior is evident of a couple of years as a hunting-vehicle which is why I bought it because I worked on a 10'000 acre game ranch in batesville and during the rain you had to have a DEPENDABLE 4x4 that was worthy of some pretty nasty terrain negotiation ......this was no problem for this truck and to be blunt , it surprised me more than on one occasion.....the "cap" I was referring to is just a mere top I tacked up with some pipes and square stock to stay dry on rainy days on the ranch.....any questions, feel free to give me a call....im not the fastest typer so the response will be faster with a call....James Scott...210-779-4351"

It is just the 1/2 ton axles, 44 up front and 9 1/4 out back. Prob right about the small bolt pattern.
Probably so, Im still looking for a least a decently clean Rc or TD 75-79. Don't care if its stock i just don;t want a rust bucket or one that is beat the hell up. So keep your eyes open

I appreciate the offer skip but im looking for a 75-80 Model Rc or TD. perfer to be mainly stock, not overly modified with little to no rust and or body damage. It will be hard to find but im keeping my eyes open for the right one for the right price. Ive seen a few but they want way to much.

You'd have to get a "barn find" to get a 70s RC/TD with no rust or body damage for cheap. I may go out and look at this guy's TD and see what kind of shape it is in. With an aluminum intake and other stuff, it sounded like it should be worth $1,500 unless it is a rust bucket.

Not aimed at you Eric, but I always hear people on RCC dying for a 70's pop top, then when they come up, nobody bites. James from BOR and I have probably found 6-8 of them in the past couple of years. I think he's bought 4 of them and one got away.

Yeah i know im grasping for straws. I saw one in bandera online that i liked but for got to e-mail him. Im not in any hurry, so ive been taking my time finding the right one for the right price at the right distance. Since im currently putting myself back through college again, my budget went down alot. But I will keep my eyes open for the right one. Brad I would appreciate any leeds you find that your not intrested in. Oh by the way i live in San Marcos now so im not to far from you :) I Finally got away from the gulf.

I talked to the guy with the ad on CL, he painted a different picture about the floors, he said they were solid. He did state that it was rust looking brown and was ugly, but overall pretty straight. Said the grille needed polishing but was clean. Full time with front shaft in place, 6" lift, wagon wheels on mis matched 33's and a nice working tailgate. Tacked-up roof, etc.
I need this like another hole in my head, but due to an enormous amout of medical bills, it cant happen here (no Ramjam either :p),  but for 1500.00ish a fresh 360 and the suspension is worth that at minimum. It's 34 years old and like Brad said, good luck for an original barn find. If you do find one it aint' gonna be 1500.00

I would love to jump on it but I won't have any money until after the first of the year.  I'm determined to go to RJ but I may have to push it home if the gas money is not there.

You are really close. I work at the Copart off I-35 and York Creek, which is on the New Braunfels - San Marcos border. We should get together for lunch sometime.

The other thing is... he's ASKING $1,500. That doesn't mean if you show up with cash he wouldn't take less. I'm about to talk myself into a trip to go look at it this weekend. Shhhhh, don't tell the redhead.  :-X

Both of of yall make a really good point. Iwill have to see. Brad if you do look at it take pictures ;D

It is a really good price i just didn't want to drive all the way down there for something i haven't seen yet. I was really hoping to get some pictures to at least get a idea of what condition it was in. Im not looking for a perfect condition Rc or TD i just just diddn't want a rust bucket or wne that lookied like it was in demolition derby ;D That and i would have to find a top for it

There's a place in Seguin that will make you a custom soft top. ;)

Pictures? If it is in decent shape, runs & drives, and he will negotiate off the asking price, I'll just bring it home!
