Ok guys here is one for you that has me stumped.

My 88 chevy blew the trans a few weeks ago.
I took a good working 700R4 out of a car that I dreove fram KC mo to springfield Mo. trans was shifting hard and strong.
Put it in the truck and now it shifts hard only when light on the peddle. But when you Stop on the Gas it acts like it is slipping.
The trans was not seperated from the T coverter at any time. Everything was a smoth swap. THere is play in the kick down cable so that is not tight.

Another thing is after changing trans now the truck acts like it is flooding out when you hit the Gas hard. Plugs are all fine and very nice color to them. There is no smoke from the tail pipe. when it acts up.

Any idea's?

that is not a kick down cable / its called the TV cable [ throttle valve cable / and if you dont set it right you will blow the tranny / it works on the same princible as the thottle pressure kick down that are DODGEs use
