You can get one from any parts store, but it requires different brackets than the 60 and 78 amp units. A junk yard is a good place to start, I got a working alternator and the brackets for $45!

Yea go the junk yard and see what you can find first. At least get the bracket for a 114 amp alt, that way you don't get stuck having to modify your bracket. I just went to the J/Y a week or so ago and snagged a 120 amp alt ,that was good, out of a 89 van. I made the mistake of not grabbing the bracket tho, so I have to make something up for it to work.

Just remove the stock wire from the harness and bulkhead connector (or properly insulate and tape into the harness so it wont get improperly connected) And run a new wire directlt from the alt output stud to the batt + terminal 2GA recomended .Check out the Electrical FAQ board for some more good info.

Various cars and trucks had that option. Look at the link tv posted, it has pictures of the two different alternators.

I want one! ;D ;D I put in a 120A when my 90A crapped out. That coupled with an Optima and I have no trouble running my 2000W inverter and my stereo for hours on end...

Well, i just can't be out done. I'm gonna install this as soon as I can find the correct mounting brackets and it requires only dental floss to wire it up! ;D
LMAO
That was great Chump I needed that ;D
