Will the newer 8 lug wheels from 2014+ fit a first gen RC/250? I've been looking at getting some bigger wheels and tires and perusing craigslist, with the >18" 4th gen wheels being fairly available. Problem is they don't just have an opening to fit over the hub and a center cap but they seem to wrap around the hub with a small cap that goes over the top. Without borrowing one, I'm not sure whether they would fit or not.

something like this

RC 250? Do you mean Ramcharger? Ramcharger never came in a "250". The question is: Do you have 8 lugs or 5? If you do have 8 then yes they should fit. 8x6.5" is the size if I remember correctly.

'94+ rims have too much backspacing.聽 They also do not have center-holes large enough to clear older hubs.聽 They do seem to fit 2WD trucks, but not 4WD.

86 RC 4wd with 89 w250 8 lug axles. Currently have 17" wheels from a 2003 dodge ram 2500 and they fit fine over the hubs but have 1.5" wheel spacers to make up for the offset.

It was my understanding they wouldn't fit.聽 With spacers and adaptors anything is possible.

The bolt pattern is the same though. You might have to get creative from that point on

The center hole on Dodge 8x6.5" wheels is the same through the 3rdgen trucks.

Its probably the 4th-gen wheels that need the centers opened up.
