I am thinking about getting some 40" Ground hawgs after I break in my engine and get everything together. What does everybody think of the ground hawg? I will use it primarely for mud and street. They are the toughest looking tire (other than eartmovers) that I have seen.

How long did they last? Would they be good for some street use?

I ran hawgs for 10 + yrs. Awesome tire, and I always got around 20 k or so out of them. Most of that back then was highway driving too.

The only thing I didn't like about them, was they had a solid zig-zag rib around the tire, and that would let them lock up easily on water during a hard quick stop. It would also let them break loose if ya had the engine to turn them.

I have tsl's now simply cuz I got an awesome deal on a set of used ones.

I have found that they last the longest on the street as far as aggressive mud tires.
