I think I can remember taking some braces off the engine but don't know where they attach now-the engine and tranny are back in the truck. Anyone know where the braces attach to the engine and then to the tranny? picture would be nice!

Are you talking about the angle iron braces? I can take a pic later if thats the ones you are talking about.

Yep those are the ones. I want to get them back on but not sure where they go now. Thanks Don

You don't need them ( I ran without them for over 10 yrs). They just get in the way. But, if you want them on there, they go from the large lower hole on the trans to a hole just above the pan rail about halfway up the block. the block is a 9/16 bolt and the trans is a 5.8 or 11/16. The brace with the cutout is the pass side. The flattest end of the brace goes to the engine.

The braces off my engine are bracing my garage door opener from side to side movement.

Drivers side... this pic sucks but I couldn't get an angle on it This attaches up on the side of the block just above the panrail like the other side.

Toss them, then find other things that are useless and toss them too
