Some of the 2004 1 Ton Dually 4x4 Cummins come with Goodyear GS/As size ....265/80R17 (I think) Im not sure why some have them and some dont The PSI Rating is 80.... These are the tallest factory tires I have scene on the HDs, anyone know of any comparable brand that makes a tire this sizs with a light all terrain tread? The reason I ask is because many say these GY GS/A wear out extremely fast. I want them for my 1500s Off road Package 17" Rims 8)

All info will be appreciated,

you can go to www.tirerack.com and type in tire size and they will bring up all the brands they carry in that size.

Goodyear at this point in time 265/70r/17 same overall height about 1"wider.If you want a little bigger go to 285/70r/17.BFG seems to have the most selection for light truck at this time lots of passenger rated stuff out there but stay away unless your 110% highway.

The 235/80R17 is really too skinny of a tire to put on the off road rims which are 9 inches. Goodyear calls for 6-7.5 inch rim for the 235/80R17. It might look kinda goofy on there. I really think the 265 or 285/70R17 would look good on your truck. The 265/70R17 is .2-.4 " shorter(depending on brand) then your original size and about 1.5 inches wider. The 285 is taller then your original size and about 2 inches wider.

The 265/70r/17 and the 235/80r/17 are the same overall height the 265 is about an 1" wider. The 235/80r/17 is a new size made by goodyear only for dodge at this point in time tha 265/70r/17 has been around for about 6 years and has better pricing and availability.

Yea I did the measuring, the 235/80r/17 is a bit taller than the 265... but Im just gonna stick with the 265/70, the 80s cost too much.
