Been a slow few days. I'm waiting on parts to finish up the stereo system and I've been putting off getting the exhaust installed.

So, trying to find some small things to keep myself occupied.

Since I removed the map light by the ashtray, I picked up a couple of courtesy lights to mount above the kick panels. 1 power wire and 1 ground wire, not much to it, tapped into the existing wires for the map light.

I've been working on getting the stereo system buttoned up lately. I'm still waiting on some more speaker wire, so I could only get 2 speakers installed today.

I got some MDF board and measured out the space where I wanted to mount the rear speakers. I glued some layers together to get the depth I needed and then cut the hole for the speaker.

After mocking up the box, and triple checking my measurements, I took a deep breath and drilled holes into the bedside for the expandable rivet nuts to hold the speaker boxes in place. It's always nerve wracking to drill holes into a highly visible spot, but at some point you just gotta go for it!

Then primer and paint, and ready to install in the front and rear.

I also installed USB charging plugs in the top of the boxes, so anyone sitting in the back seat can keep their phones charged.

The bass sub and the amp are mounted under the rear seat, so I plan on making a 1" spacer to give them a bit of room to breath. But that's down the road.

Nice work! Good call on the USB in the rear.

A sub under the seat? You might want to talk to the future rear passengers about that one. Lol. That could get all kinds of different reactions, some that are NSFW! 😂

Truth be told, it's not a really loud sub. Just a little 8" thumper. But could still be fun for the right passenger!

I'm getting ready to get the exhaust installed so I needed to install the rear bumper. I bought front and rear bumpers from LMC a while ago and I've been anxious to see the quality of the fit and finish.

I'm impressed with the quality. Very nice chrome and all the holes lined up perfectly.

So, if anyone is wondering about the LMC bumpers, I will say they are worth a look.

I forgot to get a before pic, I decided to get this DIY shifter handle for my TD.

Lets you customize the height to fit your vehicle.
The base works with a Hurst shifter, so that's a bonus.

Plus, it's about 1/4 of the price of a Hurst handle.

With the PLYMOUTH ball on top, it turned out good.
