Can you swap an LA series (fuel injected) 318, for a magnum 318 out of a mid 90s model dodge? And if so, will the Magnum, bolt up the same to the transmission?

non magnum transmissions are not notched for crank position sensor. Minor machine work (sawzall)
required.

Please save yourself from the insanity involved with 96-up engines/transmissions/controllers.

Assuming you would like to keep the fuel injection anyways.

I also recommend snatching a 46RH trans as well. Over drive is a nice complement.

Do you have an overdrive trans already?

Might as well go for the big boy 360/5.9L magnum instead.  Grin
