Got my new Holley Carb! . It's time to junk that Edelbrock carb that had the choke horn removed . It was great in the warm weather but I needed one with a choke for the winter. I chose the Holley because I grew up with them. I had time to install it today but I still have to dial it in. Out of the box it was a lot more crisp! I can't wait to get it done.

Was that oil pressure reading at idle?? You know you can have to much oil pressure!! If that is at idle you are at the high end now. Good chance to wash out the bearings. Watch it closely!! Just a thought there!! Puttputt56!!

Just a thought there!! Puttputt56!! That is at 1300 rpm before the oil is up to temp. It does drop down some when the oil warms up. It also has 10w-30 in now. I would hate to see it with 20w-50 . I will watch it though. Thanks

looks great Jim! i like all the new paint and plumbing. hey what's that thing sitting beside your RCs in the driveway?
It my furd Centurion. marine 460 CID , Auto, Dually 410S.120 gal gas tanks. Aka The tank. I use to haul my Chris Craft 312 Stinger with it. The boat, trailer and gas use to weigh in at just under 10000 lbs. It use to be able to run at 65 mph all day . I sold the boat  so now I use it to haul my cargo trailer for my side job. I want to replace it with a pre 90 1 ton single wheel crew cab. 440 of course . Mike got your RC running yet?

when you said it was a Centurion i was thinkin of the four door Bronco thingy and i knew i had never seen a dually one, never seen one of those E350 van based either. did it have the fiberglass bedsides at one time? looks like it did the way the camper part is flared at the bottom. if you ever want to sell it let me know, it's screaming for a Cummins conversion.
ooh yeah i finally went to the doctor today after having to eat about six BC powders a day for the last three or four days for the pain in my head just so i could function at work. said i had a bad sinus infection, also said i was 1 in about a 100 he's seen since the storm the other week. gave me a script for some good antibiotics. so maybe i'll be up to working on getting the 70 under the Ramcharger here in a couple of days.

Bad BearIn the picture of her with the load of PT lumber it started to rip the hitch out of the frame.( RUST) So now It's a sad day when ever I pull parts off her to sell . At least some of her will be able to live on. That is why I'm going to part her out.

I found a picture today of my first ramcharger. I thought I would share it with everyone. It's a 1975 & it had a 340 in it. Check out the top. It had the Olds Vista Cruiser top windows. I sold it back in 1984.

X2 with the weather we've been having it could be spring. Snowwheeling is so much fun even in a regular car.

We got about 25" in this storm. North of us they got around 36" . I haven't gotten the 440 out lately . Still have a trans problem. I have been collecting parts though. Found a 205 with a 727 & shifter. D60 front with 4.10's And a D60 HD rear w/ 4.10's & track lock. I haven't made up my mind on using the D60HD rear or find a D70 I spent about 12 in the plow truck keeping the lot cleared at work. Time for spring!!! I did have the gold one out in the snow for a while.

This is a D60HD w/ track lock & 4.10. I haven't made up my mind on building it up or find a D70.

Wow, nice find man ... cheapest i've found for a set of 60s anywhere within 200 miles of me was $1,500 found a great deal on a set of rockwells, but I want to be able to drive on the road also lol ... thats an awesome RC, did you go to 60/70s because of the 440 or for bigger tires or ?

hey Jim there's a guy down on Ocracoke that's got an early 80's chevy 4x4 dually forsale. he wants $800 for it. it's got a 350, sm465, np205, 60 front, 70 rear, the cab is a rust bucket and has no bed. not a bad deal for the drivetrain tho.

Mike, Sounds like a good deal. I don,t know if I'll Put 35 spliners in With a locker or find a dodge single rear wheel D70. Whats your feel on this one? Right now I'm just collecting parts. I'll completely rebuild the front D60 & maybe put that track lock that is in the D60HD rear. I had a power lock in the front of my CJ & it worked out good. That's another thought. I'm thinking 6" lift & 36S.

i would go with the skyjacker 6" system, the "system" comes with new rear springs as where the "kit" comes with just blocks. i had it with some 36" parnelli jones' and only had minimal rub at the rear edge of the front fender. you should also do a crossover steering set up if you go over 4" of lift. that's the only way i ever got mine to feel comfortable and it ended all bump steer. you're also gonna need to pick up some new driveshafts, double cardan front and rear with 1350 joints top and bottom.
if your not gonna wheel it hard i would stay with the 60/60hd w/trac locks in both. and i wouldn't up grade the shafts until you brake a stock one.
