So I've decided this year I'm getting more involved with my local stock car track. For the past 3 years I've been pit crewing for a local Pro Truck. My good friend Andy took me on after my first attempt. I bought a 78 Impala 2 dr for thunder stocks(hobby stock, claimer class, it also fit the street stock class as well but was bigger then the average street stock) The car just was to far gone for me. It needed an engine, trans, rear diff, rims, tires, suspension, brakes, front steering, and all the safety stuff needed to be redone. It was like 15 grand or something like that to be the minimum requirements to be competative from where it was. So I sold it to a guy and he put 60 grand into it in 2 years.(no idea why but ok)

but after that car I was pretty down. Hid away from the racing crowd for a while after I sold it but that year before the season came around I joined up with now a good friend of mine, Andy, then President of the club. And helped him for the past 3 years. First year with his #8 Chevy Silverado Pro Truck(fiberglass truck body on a 84 Buick Metric Chassis.)

After that year Andy sold the truck and bought a Super Late Model, again #8 but a Dodge Charger this time.

After that year he sold the SLM, it was far to expensive for the budget but alot of fun. If the car got wrecked that was our year. We didn't have a replacement or any plan. Andy bought another Protruck for the 2009 season. Again #8 but that one had a Toyota body already on it so it's a Monte Carlo Metric chassis with a toyota tundra body.

This year were keeping the same truck and doing some improvements. Shifting weight around and making adjustments for new tire rules. But the color is changing to red. Gonna be another fun year.
But this year I've decided to go racing. So I bought a running car with a cage in it. It's a 95 Acura Integra I'm going to drive in the Sport Compact Mini Stock class. I'm hoping I can find some sponsors before the year begins but not holding my breath lol. The way the class rules are stock cars are basically all thats allowed with a few suspension changes. So the dominant car has been the Neon because it's 150 hp(the hp limit) and easy to setup for camber. My choice was because I didn't feel like racing a neon.
My car has a good racing history as well 3 championships and 2 runner ups. 2 championships on road course races and 1 in ice racing. The runner up finishs were in road course as well. seeing as it's stock it's a 1.8L 4 cylinder 16 valve engine. with a 5 speed transmission out of a gsr. mine is a 4dr car so it's rather large and heavy. my minimum weight is 2050lbs but I doubt I can get the car down there.
The car was required to be 2650 in the road race class it was in so it had a full dash, heater core, ac, abs system, full windows, motors, and tracks, the doors even unlocked and locked with the power system still, had full lights and was even registrable on the street with airbags. now thats all gone as visable in the photo's. I know it's not a Dodge but the Neon is lame and the next possible car is the k car which isn't as good. This integra should be pretty dominant.
Anyways photo time,
