Well, here it is.  Start of my new project. Cheesy

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2392506

First pics are of bringing it home.  I've taken the carb off to rebuild it and man, look at the size of those throttle bores!!!!!  Motor turns over by hand and has compression.  Gonna see about starting it and evaluating what I've got first before tearing into it.

Started tearing down the carb and cleaning.  Suprisingly in good shape.  If the gaskets hadn't shrunk it would have prolly been alright.  Taking the time to clean and detail, no hurry on this project!

Flatheads forever!

Not alot of parts

Carb rebuild is complete! Grin

Not show condition, some minor flaws, but overall usable and clean.  This is gonna be a driver, not a trailer queen.

Nice work.  Were new parts for that carb found well enough?

Some more updates.  The climate here in Dallas is considerably wetter than southern Utah so I've started to protect it abit with some semi flat acrilic (sp?) paint.  Wire brushed the rust off and rattle canned.

The rear fender and quarter panel has been rubbed with steel wool and waxed.  You can see the difference.  Hopefully it will protect through the winter.

$21.95 at O'reillys, had it in a couple of hours from the local warehouse.  They also have the water pumps and fuel pump available too.  Thanks for the props.

Just got bacl from the Good Guys car show, and HOLY SH!T!!!!!   Awesome rides and great ideas.

I'll post some pics after awhile.

I''m doing the body work and paint last so for now it will stay semi flat black, and I'm going for some pin stripe on the trunk, and either Moon Eyes or the Thrush Wookpecker on the lower front fenders.
