saw this truck in a parking lot early one morning while i was delivering.   I have had a idea in my head for a while to build a custom truck that would help out with my hotel bills and comfort while on the road this would do it quite well Smiley  any one know who built it ? it is obviously a custom conversion but i cant seem to find anything else like it. most of the conversions i see screw up the body lines of the truck and just look like crap

Interesting that it has a similar space behind the rear doors like the Megacab.  Not at all like the crew cabs of the same era.  I've always wanted to do one of the crewcab + Ramcharger conversions even though I really don't like the idea of a Suburban-ish vehicle so I probably wouldn't keep it.  I guess I just want to build one on day.

here's a couple similar ones that I believe were built by Western Hauler,
I also have a picture or two of ones similar to the white one you posted, but do not know the builder either

I just noticed the one in the original post only has the rear door on the passenger side.
The other one like it I have a picture of only shows the driver's side with no door, didn't know there was a 3rd door.

ya it looked to be a factory crew cab that had the cab/roof extension added the rear door was just like the ones on my crew cabs unlike the custom cab extensions you showed  which by the way look alot better than most i have seen

looks like that's all

I have also seen an extended cab 93 with a Kidnapper style, though sleeker, added into the bed, but with the front of the bed and rear of the cab joined to form a large seat area.  Was pretty slick, utill the guy jackknifed a gooseneck into both sides and folded up about every body panel on the rig.  But I don't have any pictures of it.  I've seen them on other trucks though, but no pics.

Thanks Donk

those with just a sleeper added on to them are the ones i don't really like it just screws up the dodge lines that i like so much Smiley

also that first one you posted (gray) looks to be the same conversion as the one i posted (white) the solid side is the same window and the lines look the same as well as the roof extension the gray one is just well used i would of bought it tho Smiley

yep they look to be the same company to bad these company's are not around any more all i can seem to find is these ugly giant sleepers that are made to fit any truck and then there are these conversion company's that just do the BIG trucks now oh well more fun building it my self anyway Smiley

if you haven't guessed yet, I dig the nicer sleeper cab conversions too, so now I'm having fun looking more

ya i really dig the sleek sleepers that follow the dodge lines these big things just don't do it for me lots of room in them but at that cost of making a very ugly truck:(  keep it up if ya have the time  i have seen the T-Rex a few times my self that is a nice little sleeper on the back of it takes up bed space but it works very well for a off road/camping rig and that flat bed he has is i believe the same sleeper company as the first two you posted not to bad at all i little more finishing work and it would look great Stan is a great guy to visit with if you ever get a chance.

Roadmaster Sleepers
Roadmaster

these are pretty nice i bit big for my liking i would have to cut my bed and make it wider to fit with the back of the sleeper as it is wider than the bed. when i was first looking at sleepers for my truck i was about to give up and buy a small sleeper from a western star semi as they have that curve to the out sides like a dodge and just cut it up to down size it and make it "fit" the dodge lines would have been alot of work and may not have worked at all the inner support structure of them are kind of hard to work with as they are inside the fiberglass one would almost have to disassemble it cut it down and redo all the glass work to refinish and cover the support structure.

Thanks for the info Donk you seem to be doing a bit better finding first gen trucks than me

Here is another i really like that i ran across while looking for ideas i think i found it on ebay? not a dodge but real nice. I think something like it would be great with the top extension of the white dodge i posted super slick i think. that interstate ready one you posted i looked it up and it is real coll but the top is just pout of line with the rest of the truck to tall and steep plus with the new dodges the top kind of comes up to a "point" anyway adding the extension just made it stand out even more. Sad

most defiantly. one fun job tho talk about to views. I did high rise welding for awhile and loved being up high all the time just beautiful  Smiley the wind sucked some times tho lol literally depends on what side of the beam you were on it would suck you back instead of pushing you like normal. odd felling.

cool - take the first pic of the white truck, include the clubcab rear window, make it a 4x4 with 4-6" lift, add a 6BT Cummins and a NV5600, and a set of Rickson 19.5's - my next rig...I mean project.
