Did get some pics of the kid in his coastume today, but they're still on the camera. He'a a motorcross rider (store bought costume). My work did a children's Halloween party today. They had a lot of games and activities for the kids to do. Our son had a great time. Didn't really get a lot of candy, but also got quite a bit of toys and other little trinkets.

We're putting the grand baby in her Mom's Clown costume from that age. I revamped it a little to make it cuter. Have to put it on her and take some pics. We're going to start setting up for Haloween tomorrow.

Awesome pumpkins.
How do you get them to keep a week? I'd love to carve mine but I'm worried they would be liquid by friday.

Mine usually last about 2 weeks, if indoors and the house is not too hot ....

So if I put them out I'm doomed? It is getting to the teens around here. I was thinking rattle can varnish or polyeurethane.

(and I don't think any varnish would help ... ) I kinda keep mine inside, in a window looking out ... even ghouly things like to stay warm ...

Can't wait for it to be over. Wife works at a Party Store. Halloween is their big sales event. It takes them about 5 months to gear up for it.

I'll post pictures of mine later tonight. I painted them this year instead - we've had a problem with ants and I didn't want to deal with that mess if I carved them (plus we've still been in the 80's and 90's). One has Winnie the Pooh and Tigger on it - dressed as each other. The other one is Stewie from Family Guy dressed as a pirate. I'm pretty impressed with how good they came out.

I guess the pumpkins since we don't have any kids. Though I am making the dogs costumes just so that I can take a picture for a contest. If I actually finish them I'll post those too.

Here is my Granddaughter(the clown) and the corpse bride is my sister. Some of the decorations we set up this year. We didn't do much this year since we've had such crappy weather, at least when I had the time to work on it.

Thanks OMR, we've been doing this for over 15 years now. My Dad started it and he still helps. We took over and made it much larger over the years. Happy Halloween to all!
